Dr. Kongkaew has made significant contributions to the fields of pharmacoepidemiology, pharmacovigilance, and evidence-based health policy. Her research centers on patient safety and the rational use of medicines, spanning prescription medicines, herbal medicines, cosmetics, and diagnostic testing, using systematic reviews, meta-analysis, and pharmacoepidemiological methods.
She currently leads protocol development for "Herbal Medicines in the Treatment of Dementia" (August 2025), part of her broader initiative to systematically evaluate and compare the effectiveness of herbal medicines in dementia care through advanced evidence-synthesis methods, and plays a leading role in international collaborative research.
